The guiding star – even the god – in Kullrusk’s world is the doyen of electric jazz: trumpet player and saxophonist Eddie Harris. And his spirit is truly brought to life as these four plug in and press the “on” button.
Saxophone players Jonas Kullhammar and Per “Ruskträsk” Johansson are at the helm, joined by an equally rock-solid and fearless rhythm section: bass player Sven Lindvall and drummer Martin Jonsson. Together they are Kullrusk, a quartet that has held onto its distinctive personality from day one, consistently presenting a sound in which the electric saxophones go toe to toe with agile acoustic accompaniment.
This fiery music is filled with explosive funk, hard-swinging jazz – and everything in between. Music that knows no limits.
